Dear Self …

Make a note:

Do not loose your temper with your two-year-old son. He doesn’t realize that many of the things he does annoy you, drive you mad in fact, he is just doing all he knows how to do to experience the world around him. If you raise your voice, he will raise his voice. If you curse when you drop something on the floor, he will curse when he drops something on the floor. In short, if you behave poorly, he will behave poorly and it won’t be his fault, it will be yours.

Remember that he is the most precious single entity in your life, the most precious that has or ever will be and don’t forget for a moment that each day that passes can never be retrieved, it is gone. You had best take full advantage of the time you have together.

Further note: don’t forget to brush your teeth together with HH at least twice a day.

I need to compose a similar note to myself. And you HH is certainly devilishly handsome, that's for sure.

Wow, I am really enjoying reading your blog. I'm totally blown by the self-awareness you display here about your relationship with your son. It's taken me thirteen years and 4 children to get to this point. What a lucky boy HH is.
